we got some waves!

a week since last post....

it's been an interesting week.  as always.  

been trying to get more and more interesting photographs.  it seems that a lot of what you see is VERY difficult to translate into a good photo.  i'm learning so cut some slack.....

time sure is flying

it seems just yesterday the man was just growing some hair and sitting up on his own.  now he's jumping around on beach chairs on the deck and discovering his personality.  what fun we're having watching him grow.

south bay is gorgeous this time of year.   you can see downtown in the first pic if you look on the right side.  love it.

The weather is here.....

It's been as nice as it gets around here these past few days.  Owen and I have been out enjoying the sunshine and the beach.

car wash backpack

owen helped me wash the car.  he rode in the back pack and offered words of encouragement.

the tricks just keep on comin.

I'm now carrying around a camera.  He's been on a role!

i haven't found the 'bag o vipers' or broken glass for him to play with, but for now skateboards and his newfound toy, LADDERS????, will suffice.  oh man.  what a guy!

owen the daredevil

Owen's discovered the joys of gravity and skateboards.  Whoa.

very interesting last 24 hours

owen no longer has to wear the stinky dodger helmet!  his head is now properly shaped and it's no longer required.  i felt like a kid walking out on the last day of school when we left the doctors office down in san diego.  his first photo with his dr. approved head shape:

the next news came this morning.  we were off to the high tech OBGYN for an amnio.   got up early and surfed as i generally do and when i was finished i started looking for a couple pieces of trash to throw away on my way across the beach as i always do.  right in front of me as i get out of the water is this:

i saw this as an early indication of what the doctor would be telling me in a few hours.  i was right.

Dog days of summer.....

It's been quite hot around here.  Winston loves it.

Surf has been spotty at best.  At least the water's still warm.

everybody showed up just as the tide was filling in and the waves were dying.


surf camps????? not so much.


better than the last couple days.



the new pavel fish is the best fish i've ever ridden. really having a ball on it.

it's also really nice when surfline and the other sites aren't going crazy hyping every little pulse of energy that rolls through. there were fun waves this AM and a thin crowd. thanks to the gate man for arriving at 540A as well.
